• Teachers Impact Lab

Improving well-being and increasing the attractiveness of the teaching profession for an inspiring school culture in the 21st century through process optimization in everyday working life, networking and annual awarding of the "Happy Place to Teach" award.

The Teachers Impact Lab is a nonprofit education and networking organization founded as UG (limited liability) and wants to reach more happy, healthy and satisfied teachers in our schools.
The current workload studies show an extremely high overload feeling, which ends more and more often in a burnout. Many teacher positions remain vacant, the profession is not very attractive to the younger generation and the reimbursement is negatively affected.

Founder Tina Simon herself has been teaching at a comprehensive school for eight years and has worked as a all-day coordinator in school management. The experience of the challenging everyday school life and the training as an innovation coach has driven her to do something for her colleagues who are stuck in a school day leaving little time for enthusiasm and potential development - for which the colleagues should serve as role models for our students.

By awarding the "Happy Places to Teach 2019" award, best-practice examples of colleges are to be found in the pilot year, which have already optimized their processes in their daily work, making them leaner and more effective.
Together with the award-winning schools, experts on employer engagement from companies and educational policy makers, a network is being created that helps other schools to optimize their processes and thus give them more time for the actual core competencies in the teaching profession.
