We build politech (digital tools for politics) to digitalize, democratize and disrupt state-of-the-art democracy to integrate citizens better in the process of institutional and political decision-making on all hierarchy levels.

For citizens who desire more participation and personal intervention in political processes, transparency as well as easier and simpler information access to political decision-making, we develop a voting-based smartphone application. Hereby the main point is not to program “just another smartphone app”, but rather use state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure to simplify the information flow and interactive communication between citizens and political institutions or governments. Though the user is just identified with his phone number and localization. [Please note here, that a phone number is more valuable as identification and less vulnerable to fake compared to E-Mail (Facebook-Accounts, Google-Accounts) as well as general fake personal data input.] The user of the app will get push-notifications to relevant elections in his city council, state parliament and federal parliament and therefore can express his individual preferences on important issues, ideas and projects. Hence we need localization to validate that the smartphone is in the correct district. The benefits are the easy access to information on current issues in the political decison-making processes as well as the opportunity to express his needs/wants and the ability to influence and shape the future actively. The information flow is vice versa, so the political institutions will also gain data-insight and better informaion.
