• Kompotoi

The goal of this project is to encourage the sustainable management of our resources. Through the renting of compost toilets to small and medium-sized events, toilet users are brought into contact with the subject of the environment and recycling in an appealing and authentic way.

The goal of this project is to encourage the sustainable management of our resources. In the current trend of sustainable and ecological lifestyles, private people and businesses are increasingly often seeking alternatives to conventional, non-ecological solutions. The conventional rental toilets dispose of the faeces with a large quantity of chemicals, water and energy. On the other hand, Kompotoi toilets function without chemicals and convert waste material into reusable material. In this way, rubbish becomes a resource.

The compost toilet does not only look good, but is environmentally friendly and totally odourless. From your 'human output' we make an earth conditioner and can therefore close an important natural cycle in a direct way without polluting the water.

    Renting

Our products are user-friendly in the first place. A toilet visit is much pleasanter than to other rental toilets. Through the addition of wood chips, we achieve a visual cover and the neutralisation of odour.

Appealing interior and exterior designs distinguish the toilets and radiate individuality. Sustainable resources are used in the manufacture of the Kompotoi which  takes place in Switzerland. During the interior construction, quality, hygiene and a convenient retention time are priorities.

    Refining

The collected resources are turned into solid humus soil. We use the combined technology of fermentation and composting. This technology is also used for making Terra Preta soil. The soil is activated by our compost and carbon (CO2) is bound through the formation of humus.

    Mediation

Users are inspired to think during this different type of toilet visit. The faeces, normally known as waste product, are not just flushed away, but users may ask themselves: "What happens to it?"

Answers are provided directly at the toilets by info posters. Further information about events and projects that follow similar goals can also be found in the Kompotoi.
