aWATTar is an electricity supplier, by means of which it is possible to become part of the energy transition as a customer. We offer a variable tariff and an optimisation solution for certain devices. The customer saves money, uses more green electricity in real time and more renewable energy fits into the grid!

Electricity costs are constantly increasing. Most of the green electricity that is sold by electricity suppliers, most of the time only leads to smaller electricity suppliers getting less green electricity. But in total, nothing changes!

On the other hand, it happens more and more often that wind and solar electricity generate so much supply that the prices decrease dramatically and often this type of electricity needs to be turned off.

aWATTar offers a two-fold solution to this problem, not offered by other electricity suppliers:

    1.     A variable electricity tariff, which means that electricity is priced differently at every hour, and on every day.

    2.     An optimisation process that automatically moves certain usages to times with the lowest electricity costs.

Obviously, this only works with devices whose usage can be automated to a certain degree, such as e.g. fridges, heat pumps, hot water tanks, electric cars, etc.

    What are the advantages?

    1.     The customer saves money as he/she pays less than the average price for electricity and needs not do much more than some initial settings.

    2.     Through relocation to the hours with a  lot of wind and solar energy, more green electricity is used in real time and a real change is made in the energy market.

    3.     Finally, more renewable energy fits into the grid!
