Currently, anderStark wants to expand into new areas, create new projects and new campaigns. On the one hand, we want to show that there are still limitations in our society, limitations which create problems. On the other hand, the team of anderStark wants to show that these problems can be solved, and that prejudices and anxiety towards people with disabilities can be eliminated. Let’s really live the inclusion!
The current projects of anderStark are intended to remove limitations, anxieties and prejudices in our society in an aesthetic and artistic way. In our opinion, people are more apt to deal with new unknown topics if those topics are presented to them in a humorous and aesthetic way. In addition, the self-confidence of all participants with disabilities gets a real boost, because in anderStark, they find an arena which offers motivation and functions as a network, whereby they can exchange opinions on different topics and discover new ideas.
One of the future projects of anderStark will be the organisation of a fashion show, intended to take place annually. Young unknown local designers can show their latest creations there. And the remarkable fact about this fashion show will be that models with disabilities will not be excluded from the show, quite the contrary. The image of an “imperfect” woman, one that is allowed to have flaws, will become normal and accepted. Our aim is that those women who are “not flawless” will be considered as equal competition in the world of fashion and the media. The currently existing ideal of beauty will start to change.
A second project is run under the title: “RAMPENlicht: EVERY woman should be put on the red carpet”.
Barriers at venues regularly frequented by women will be removed, so that women in wheelchairs, mothers pushing baby strollers and women who rely on walking frames will be able to cope without complications in their daily lives.
Everyone in the team of anderStark wants to emphasise femininity and womanhood. We want to show that beauty is not a matter of outer appearance, but of inner virtue... if the circumstances are optimal..Contact person: Anastasia Umrik, E-mail
