URSPRUNG Frankfurt
12.12.2018
URSPRUNG Frankfurt gUG has been contributing to the integration of disadvantaged young people and young refungees since 2013. In a protected space, the young persons development is stimulated and accompanied by joint craftsmanship. The living environment of young people offers little impulse to work at work in everyday life. For this purpose, we work with young people in youth workshops where we encourage them to get to know different materials and tools. Thus we enable them to try different working techniques in a protected space.
Working together promotes positive group dynamics, strengthens young people's self-esteems and requires them to prove some kind of discipline, concentration and endurance. Virtues that the target groups oftentimes lack, but are indispensable for training. In addition to learning social skills, there is also the possibility for career orientation. By trying out different areas of craftsmanship, young people will learn their talents in different areas and if so, whether one of the apprenticeship jobs offers them a realistic perspective for their future. Therefore it is possible to make a career decision on the basis of practically testing different types of craftsmanship.
