• MitMischen. Jugendliche gestalten den Wandel

We promote the social and political participation of young people in the city of Halle. They go out to discover their hometown and becoming aware of what actually supports people’s livelihood. They develop solutions for a city where it is really worth living in – and for a world for all to live in.

We promote the social and political participation of young people in the city of Halle (Saale). They go out to discover their hometown, becoming aware of what actually supports people’s livelihood and what goes wrong. They self-organize to develop solutions for a city where it is really worth living in – and for a world for all to live in. We help the youngsters to activate their knowledge of global interdependencies and to relate them to their own environment. We focus on the interests, experiences and concerns of the young people. Being process-oriented, we create safe and playful spaces of innovation, guide their creative process through concrete tasks, procedures and questions. All of this is coupled with education on sustainable development. Our main activities are workshops, coaching sessions as well as two larger conferences at which the youngsters plan, test and implement prototypical actions. Based on this, they become active in their region, take on responsibility and implement positive visions.

In addition, we get the youth into contact with experts of social movements, local initiatives, company managers and politicians. In this way, they can build networks, link their own work to existing structures and therefore ensure the continuation of their work.
