• ADAPTER

    The project ADAPTER is making temporarily vacant buildings accessible for interim housing projects. We want to enable citizens to shape their living spaces and their city.

    How do we want to live in the city? And where to find gaps for creativity and self-realization? 

    By the means of a yet unused resource in Stuttgart - temporary vacant buildings - we create new experimental housing. Concepts on how to transform these buildings, originally not built for housing, are developed on an actor based approach. This includes future residents, the owner, the municipality and the neighborhood to unleash the potential of these buildings to be more than a private building, but also a space for the community.
